“ Fantastic family owned restaurant! The place to go for authentic Filipino cuisine! It smelled like Lola's house when you first walk in! ”

- Dan Nisnisan -

“ Food and service were great, as always. Ginatang dessert is one of the best I have ever tasted. They can make special dishes, like I did with kawalisilog. The gulaman sago (the original boba drink) was great! We also got free soup while we waited for our order. We always go here when we're in the area; we live over an hour away. There are parking in the rear if you can't find street parking at front. ”

“ The focus is about consistently delicious food. I married into a Filipino family and have learned, as a foodie, that dishes take time, they need to simmer and they are layered with flavors and herbs. KUYA'S IS A STAPLE for our family. Take out or dine in its always delicious. Dine in and the lights may flicker... it take us out of the states and portal us towards a family that cares about food. Yum. ”

“ This place has been around for years but surprisingly, this was my first time here.   When you walk in, it gives off the vibe that it used to look like the elegant but homey vibe.  It still has the same vibe just a little worn.  From the outside it is definitely a hole in the wall, you wouldn't think it was that big from the outside. I think we were one of the first ones here?  We were greeted and seated right away.  It wasn't too busy when we went but you can see the regulars slowly coming in. We ordered: 1.  Nilagang bulalo - Hot and fresh for the cold afternoon.   It was very meaty and had a variety of vegetables like carrots, potato,  and bok choy 2.  Pork sisig - I'm not sure why I was expecting it to come out sizzling, surprisingly it didn't.   After mixing it the flavors were on point.   It was the perfect amount of spiciness from the jalapenos, crunch from the onions,  and saltiness from the soy sauce. This is one that I highly recommend,  maybe even with a fried egg on top or garlic rice.  It's also perfect as is with steamed rice. 3.  Pinalutong tadyang- I thought this would be crunchy and hard.  It was the opposite, it was tender and didn't need much to get it off the bone 4.  Pancit bihon- I liked there was a lot of noodles and not all vegetables like some places. Service was good,  food was delicious,  and reasonably priced.  A lot cheaper compared to filipino restaurants nearby.   It's not bougie, it's home style cooking good ol comfort food.   I will be back soon and try their other items.  The breakfast plates people were ordering looked delicious and the portions were generous. ”

“ A bit rétro inside but it adds to the charm. They cooked the boneless bangus so perfectly, you could eat the head easily. It was better than what I had on some spots around there. The kuya’s lumpia has beef, garbanzo, carrots, peas, and a very small amount of raisins. It’s like a lumpia empanada. Yummmm! ”

“ A small cozy place. Very nice and friendly staff. You can tell they love what they do. They cook and serve with love. I enjoyed the food here. My fav was actually the fried fish which I forgot to take a picture of. ”
